"My Kid At 1.5 Kept Reenacting Her Death...": Parents Are Sharing Past Life Memories Their Kids Have Spilled, And It's Genuinely Terrifying
"One of my 4-year-old students told me that when he was in the war he shot himself in the eye with a Luger and died. I had to look up Luger, and it’s a German pistol used in WWI and WWII."
Lemme start by saying I don't believe in reincarnation. Or ghosts. Or any of that, really. But recently, I stumbled upon a thread so interesting, I may just be a believer now.
Basically, one X user posted the question: "What spooky past life memory did your child utter?" and tons of people replied with their stories. And I hope you're ready to be spooked, because here are some of the top responses:
1.
My son was telling a story about something his mother did, and I was like I didn't do that and he goes 'no my other mother' and I was like I'm pretty sure I've been your only mom. He proceeded to tell me about this other life. He was between 3/4 years old. It was weird.

My mom said when I was 3,4,5 that when I’d have fever and sleeping I’d mutter and speak Japanese. And I remember dreams of a Japanese war room like in a WWII movie where they move planes and ships and troops around.

One of my 4 yr old students told me that when he was in the war he shot himself in the eye with a Luger and died. I had to look up Luger and it’s a German pistol used in WWI and WWII (and some other wars and conflicts).

We had just completed a grocery trip and my just turned 3 year old said “I’ve been here before”. And I replied “yes, we come all the time” and he said matter of factly “no Mama, not here, this planet before.” The hair on my arms and neck went up! It was odd. He said this and odd…

My child didn’t really speak until he was almost four. Later on he told me that he didn’t speak because he didn’t think I was his mom- every night as a small child he dreamed of his “real mom”- they were on horseback riding across a plain and she got shot by an arrow, fell off…

My 3yo daughter would draw these shapes, over and over - actual hieroglyphs (I googled). Then one day I saw her casting spells over our vegetable garden and when I asked her about it she told me it “was a pwivate convosation.” Yeah, so I don’t fuck with her.

When my youngest was 3, she told me that she drowned when she was with her dad. She repeated this over and over until I asked her to tell me about it. She told me a story of something that never happened. She said that she died.

My 3yo would tell us little anecdotes about “when he was a daddy.” Never made much sense but spooked us a bit.

My son, when he was about 3, began talking about a motorcycle. I told him, “you’ve never been on a motorcycle!” And he said, “no mommy, back when I was big”.

When my kiddo was three I was on the floor playing with her and she just got up and held my face and said "I was your mommy before"--I was like ok? And then she got right up in my face and said "really!" And repeated herself. Just staring right into my eyes until I agreed.

Not exactly this, but my son when he was 3 tried oatmeal crème pies for the first time. My ex asked if he liked them. He said, “Yeah! Like PawPaw!” My dad’s picture is on her ofrenda as he’d passed 3 years before our son’s birth. We’d NEVER told him the fact my dad DID love those

My 5-6 year old son, would watch the WW2 channel constantly and know all the battles and names of the ships. It was like he was reliving the past.

My son was in the bathtub one night and said I died in the water once. In a war. It was really fast. I died in the first couple of minutes. I had pointy things on my collar. He used to say the damndest things. But he said we were the best parents he ever had.

My wife was pregnant with twins but one didn't make it to term. My daughter one day was talking to herself and we asked her who she was talking to. "My brother, the one I ate inside Mommy's belly."

When I was 8 and my brother was 3 he would go on and on in great detail about being a train conductor and having to shovel the coal in but one night he didn't have lantern oil and that's the night he died...

My kid at 1.5 kept reenacting her death of being shot in the stomach by cops in black suvs and landing backwards into a puddle and there was fire. She told us this story a lot, always the same, and now that she’s 6 she has no memory of it.

I remember telling my mom about my past life as an old Chinese woman when I was really young. It's weird to remember it now, I can't really say if it was true but I remember really believing it when I was explaining it to my mom back then.

My mom has always said that around 3-4 I would tell her about, “when I was an adult.” She paid no attention & wrote it off as kids not understanding how anything works. It happened fairly often though. I wish she would have tried to remember my stories.

Wasn’t my kid, but my cousin was a little girl, like 3-4 and she’s going through family pics with my mom and she points at a pic of my grandma and says “that’s my sister”. My great aunt had died 20+ years before my cousin was born.
