Kylie Jenner may not have walked the red carpet with Timothée Chalamet, but she still showed up to the Golden Globes to support him. Better yet, she did so by wearing an archival dress that might look a bit familiar, depending on how pop culture savvy you are.
While Kylie didn't walk the red carpet, her gown for the awards show still caught the internet's attention.
That's because she wore a silver version of the same pink-purple Versace dress Elizabeth Hurley wore to the 1999 CFDA Fashion Awards.
Here's a side-by-side of the two style icons:
This isn't the first time Kylie has donned an archival look while supporting Timmy at an awards show. Just a year ago, she wore a vintage Hanae Mori gown to the 2024 Golden Globes when Timothée was nominated for his work in Wonka.
In light of Kylie wearing a version of Elizabeth's dress on Sunday, a couple of people online began to muse if the actor and model is a current style inspiration for the beauty mogul. Kylie's 2023 Golden Globes look was compared to a similar black lace ensemble that Elizabeth wore in 1997 for an event celebrating Elizabeth Taylor.
After all, like Kylie and Timothée today, Elizabeth and actor Hugh Grant were in a high-profile relationship through the '90s and attended numerous major Hollywood events together.
"Kylie Jenner really can't help but channel Elizabeth Hurley vibes every time she steps out with Timothée Chalamet. From red carpets to couple moments, it's giving 90s royalty with a modern twist. #LisLove," one person tweeted.
Another wrote, "okay kylie jenner i see u referencing elizabeth hurley at awards shows with her then bf hugh grant in the 90s and honestly #iloveit."
So, what do you think of Kylie's look for the Globes?
